It all started with an idea

Urban screens came about one evening when a wife was sitting having a drink on the deck of their newly built home, She said to her husband, “surely there is something we can do about that ugly heat-pump unit?!”

So, she began to research and investigate only to find there wasn’t anything attractive or affordable for them to use.

The couple wanted something modern yet discreet, something that would be long-lasting, low maintenance and affordable.

This is why we made the decision to go with a wood plastic composite (otherwise known as WPC).

WPC looks and feels just like real timber however it will not rot or decay. It will not rust like steel can.

It does not require staining, painting or oiling.

Our screen also had to be DIY. We wanted to be able to put it together easily and not have to wait for the partner to help!

So from this story…Urban Screens was born.
